Merry Christmas

Had a great day with the family. It's so much fun to see it all thru the eyes of a child.

Christmas 2015

Had a wonderful Christmas with Bonnye, Karli and Jacob. We did our dinner on Christmas Eve, so they could go to Karli's folks on Christmas Day for dinner. So fun to watch a child coming out on Christmas morning to see what Santa has brought them. We all got some fabulous gifts. Mine was once again money for ordering stamps.

 Waiting to come out!

Dancing around yelling "Santa came, Santa came!"

 Loves her stick horse!

Cool plane that came with a drill to unassemble and reassemble it with.

Loves her new baby doll and stroller

Karli loved the book Harold found for her!

Jacob was happy to finally get his Football Mickey Mouse.

 Harold enjoyed his gifts.

This was his main gift from me. He actually got it before Christmas and had picked it out when he saw it at the Craft Show we went to.

My stocking stuffers. I also got the newest (Twenty-Two) Janet Evanovich book )signed copy)

Alice brought over a gift for Bonnye and our fruit and snack basket.

Dressed and ready to go to her other PawPaw and G-Pat's house.

Cookies she decorated for them.

12-05-15 Fredericksburg Christmas Parade

Harold and I took Bonnye to the parade this year. Her first one. She had a good time and luckily it wasn't super cold like it has been in past years. The highlights for Bonnye were seeing Elsa and then at the end when we were leaving we saw Santa unloading from his sleigh and he stopped and let us take a picture with him.

Bonnye was excited about seeing Elsa in the parade!

Christmas 2013

Couldn't really get into to spirit until the last minute. Harold and I didn't even start our shopping until 3 days before. 2 days before we took Bonnye to see Santa. She was soooo adorable.

Again, we kept it simple and just did family time, but we also made a major change for our Christmas dinner. Jacob decided he wanted Gumbo and he made it the day before Christmas for Christmas. I taught him well - it was delicious - LOL! We didn't get the tree decorated completely until Christmas Eve. Several days before we got the tree up and the first ornament on was one Jacob had just gotten for Bonnye. Appropriately, it was Boo (Remember her Halloween costume).

We also got out my musical characters.
Bonnye loved them and at one point she had them all around her and all playing.

Bonnye was so cute Christmas morning. I got her up, changed her diaper and then we waited in my bedroom for Jacob and Karli to wake up...didn't take long as we made sure we made enough noise to let them know we were up and ready :-).  We had fun watching her get excited when she saw her gifts.

During the night some of my monkeys decided to climb in the tree and wait for Santa.
They fell asleep and missed him.

Patiently waiting for her mommy and daddy to wake up.

Oh boy, big legos-type blocks to step on. LOL!

Bonnye with Olaf from the movie "Frozen". She also got Sully and a purple monster from Monsters U.

Now to open the BIG present. She started off slow, but once she got a glimpse of what was inside it went faster.

Sorry, I think she hates it - NOT!

She even got 2 of her own sock monkeys in her stocking.

Karli with one of her stocking stuffers. Train silicone mold.

 Yeah, piecie parts!

Jacob with his mallard grill lighter

And of course, the obligatory nerf dart gun.

Harold's stocking stuffers (note: he got a nerf gun too)
I got a little dragon in mine.

My Jim Shore dragonfly - isn't it beautiful!

I had spotted this when out shopping and showed it to Harold. I was surprised to get it.

I guess she does like it after all.
