Bodacious Black 'n Bling Ball

Did something a little different this weekend. Instead of dressing up in red and purple, my Red Hat Scarlet Sophisticates group went to a Black 'n Bling Ball at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Richmond, hosted by the Black 'N Bling Divas. This time it was a room full of women dressed in black and lots of bling. Some of them were amazing. We had a blast. I even won a door prize. We also got a beautiful black rhinestone ring as a gift for attending and when we checked in we got a black and clear crystal bracelet and our queen gave each of us in our group a beautiful black ring as a gift. Elvis was even there to entertain us. He sang to a few of our members and Sara was even song to twice and got a little teddy bear from him when he sang "My Teddy Bear" to her the second time. Here are a few pictures of the festivities.

This was the centerpiece and place settings.

The clear and black bauble bracelet we got when we checked in, the floral one I won as a door prize and the black ring was in the little tuxedo box on our table for each of us. Didn't get a picture of the one Jeri gave us as I don't think we had gotten it yet when this was taken.

Here I am modeling the new necklace and matching earrings I purchased from one of the vendors.
I love it. My bling stash is slowly growing. Now I need a black hat for next time. I borrowed this one from a friend. I almost bought one, but someone else bought the one I liked before I got back to it.

These are some ladies from another group (red hat) that I have also seen at the last 2 Roaring 20s parties that I have gone to hosted by Pat (below) and Sibby.

Lucky Doris won the 50-50 Raffle

Mary is chosen to compete in the Ms. Bodacious contest

This was the winner (don't know who she is)

These are 2 of our hostesses: Gabby and Pat

Several of the ladies from our group were staying overnight rather than drive back up to No. VA, so Bobbie and I stuck around and went out to dinner with them at a restaurant next to their hotel and then a few of us played Canasta in the breakfast nook area of the hotel and then Bobbie and I returned home. It made for a looong day, but we had a blast and it was worth it. Looking forward to going to another one of these again next year.
